The difference
“I have Vietnamese songs” is not the same as bilingual.
Plenty of DJs will add a Vietnamese playlist to the contract. That covers the music and none of the moments that actually go wrong — the announcement nobody understood, the ceremony cue missed because the officiant switched languages, the parents who spent the night feeling like guests at someone else’s party.

Held at the family home or the venue’s private suite. Sound system and wireless mic supplied, announcements and elder introductions delivered in Vietnamese so the ceremony keeps its formality.
Ceremony
Live acoustic vocals and guitar for processional, vows and recessional. Bilingual couples often choose one language for the aisle and the other for the recessional — both work.

Do you DJ and MC in both English and Vietnamese?
Yes — both, live, by the same person. I grew up speaking Vietnamese and built my first music career in Vietnam, so I’m not reading announcements phonetically off a card. I can switch mid-reception based on who I’m talking to, which is usually what the moment actually calls for.
Can you handle a tea ceremony and an American-style reception on the same day?
That’s the most common booking I take. I bring a separate sound setup and wireless mic for the Lễ Gia Tiên in the morning, keep the tone formal and the cues correct for your elders, then shift completely for the reception. One vendor, one contract, one point of contact all day.
Do you have a Vietnamese song list, or do I need to send you one?
I have my own repertoire of Vietnamese ballads and V-pop, and I perform Vietnamese songs live rather than only playing recordings. Send me anything specific your family loves and I’ll learn it — I regularly learn a first dance song from scratch.
Half our guests don’t speak Vietnamese. How do you keep everyone included?
By making the bilingual part feel intentional instead of like a delay. Announcements get delivered in both languages, tightly, so neither side is standing around waiting. The music blends across the night rather than splitting into a Vietnamese block and an English block.
Do you provide sound equipment for the tea ceremony?
Yes — speakers, amplifier and wireless microphones for the ceremony, set up and tested before family arrives. Tea ceremonies often happen in a home or a small suite, so I bring a setup scaled to the room rather than reception-sized gear.
What do bilingual wedding DJ services cost?
Packages start at $2,000 and move up with the format — a solo DJ set sits at the lower end, the full Signature Hybrid with live acoustic plus DJ sits higher. The honest answer is that every wedding is different. Send me your date and your run of show and I’ll quote it accurately.
