What is your music curation session?
Our ‘Music Curation Session’ is a one on one virtual meeting with Lolah where we deep-dive into your wedding’s emotional flow. As expert in reading the room, Lolah helps you map out transitions from the walk down the aisle to the final dance, ensuring a seamless, stress-free celebration that reflects your unique story.
What’s included in your wedding packages?
Every package includes a professional sound system, wireless microphone, and my full attention from load-in through the last song. My most-booked option is the Signature Hybrid — I perform live acoustic sets during your ceremony and cocktail hour, then transition into a full DJ set for the reception. Lighting upgrades are available as add-ons, and The Jukebox lets your guests request songs in real time via WhatsApp throughout the night.
How far in advance should I book for a Bay Area or Napa Valley wedding?
For weekend dates in peak season — especially spring and fall — I’d recommend reaching out at least 6 to 12 months in advance. Napa Valley dates in particular book up fast. I do sometimes have last-minute openings, so it’s always worth checking, but locking in your date early gives us more time to build the perfect music flow for your day.
What does your pricing look like for weddings?
My wedding rates typically start around $2,000 for a solo acoustic or DJ set and go up depending on hours, venue location, and which package fits your day. A full-day Signature Hybrid — ceremony through dancing — runs higher. I don’t publish a flat rate because every event is different. The best first step is sharing your date and vision so I can put together an accurate quote.
Do you provide sound equipment for outdoor ceremonies?
Yes — I bring everything needed for ceremony sound: speakers, amplifier, and wireless microphones for the officiant and vows, with a second mic available if you’d like to address your guests. Everything is set up and tested before guests arrive. If you’re at an outdoor venue in Napa or the Bay Area, I know how to make sure every word and note carries the way it should.
Can my guests request songs during the reception?
Yes, and it’s honestly one of my favorite parts of the night. I run something called The Jukebox — guests text song requests directly to me through WhatsApp and I weave them into the set in real time. No shouting over the music, no hoping I’ll guess right. It keeps energy high and makes everyone feel like the night belongs to them.
What’s the difference between hiring a live musician versus a DJ for my wedding?
With most vendors it’s one or the other. With me it doesn’t have to be. My Signature Hybrid starts with live acoustic performance — real vocals, real guitar — during the ceremony and cocktail hour, then shifts into a full professional DJ set when it’s time to dance. You get the full emotional arc of a wedding in one seamless package, without the cost or coordination of booking two separate vendors. And if you want to go bigger, I can also source and manage additional entertainment on your behalf — live bands, string quartets, dancers, photo booths, and more.
